Task
To shoot a music video for a rock band, which will be a trilogy with a single story. The first part of this trilogy should show a confused hero who wants to break out of the consumer world of consumption.
⬤ 01. Challenge
The first music video of the NIZKIZ group about the problem of human consumption of goods.
The first music video of the NIZKIZ group was filmed in Minsk, despite the fact that the group is based in Mogilev. The director was Andrey Grinko, and the director of photography was Sasha Aleynikov. According to the plot, the hero must suffer due to uncontrolled consumption and be a slave to marketing. Each new day begins like the previous one, and this is the idea of the movie “Groundhog Day”. A detailed script and moodboard were prepared within a week, then the team began pre-production.
The director wanted to shoot a music video in such a way as to show the unreality of events and the inevitable repetition, cyclical nature of events that the main character has no power to influence. Anton Makukha did an excellent job as an actor and played several characters at once.
Since this was the first music video in a trilogy, the team did not think about adapting it to the next two works. On the contrary, the two future clips will be a continuation of the first. The NIZKIZ musicians approved of this creative concept.

The video production company filmed the first music video for NIZKIZ in one day, despite the fact that the plan included several different locations. Scouters picked them up close to each other, and the outpost filmed all the outdoor scenes without additional lighting.
Thanks to the optimization of the checkpoint, it was possible to reduce the project budget, which in turn made it possible to rent equipment for the project and hire more specialists. This approach often helps in creative projects.

The picture in the finished work looks flat, as if it did not include color correction. In fact, it was, but the style set by the director had to reflect that same closed and unreal world and the hero’s dependencies.
The colors of the clip are different in different scenes, as if the character is moving from one level of sleep to another, and at the end wakes up in real life, which essentially repeats the dreams.
